Smith Bigman Brock Elects New Partner
Daytona Beach, January 4, 2021 – Smith Bigman Brock, P.A., 444 Seabreeze Boulevard, Suite 900, is pleased to announce the election of a new partner, Brooke M. Gaffney, effective January 1, 2020. Brooke’s introduction to the legal field began back in 1999 when she was first employed by our firm as a billing clerk. During her employment here, she has been promoted from billing clerk to legal secretary, paralegal and, during law school she continued her employment with the firm as a law clerk. There were periods in time when, due to relocation, Ms. Gaffney worked as a
paralegal forlaw firmsin both Texas and Colorado. However, her return to our insurance defense litigation practice group as an associate attorney and ultimately joining the partnership seems to have been predestined.
Ms. Gaffney graduated from Barry University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude, earning her Juris Doctorate in 2014. During law school she was a Law Review Associate Editor; served on the Editorial Board as a Note and Comment Editor. Brooke has worked for more than a decade as a
litigation paralegal in the practice areas of Insurance Defense, Medical Malpractice Defense, Nursing Home Defense, and Personal Injury. Her years of practical, hands‐on experience, combined with her excellent academic achievements and long sustained professional
