Thanksgiving Basket Brigade 2007
SMITH BIGMAN BROCK participated in the 10th Annual Central Florida Thanksgiving Basket Brigade, a program centered around the idea of, ” Friends Feeding Friends” The firm’s team lead by Judi Lane, Partner, Melissa Morgan, Associate, Erin Kelton, Associate, and Brent Brown, of Business Archives, participated in the donation and delivery of tailor-made gift baskets containing food for Thanksgiving feasts to families in need throughout Volusia County.
The Firm has been participating in this program for several years now. The notion behind the Basket Brigade is that one small act of generosity on the part of one caring person can transform the lives of so many people. The 2007 goal was to feed 500 Families in Volusia County. On November 17, 2007, volunteers gathered at D.B.C.C. to pickup and deliver baskets to needy families. It was a day of friendship, giving, and community spirit. Each basket contained at note that read:
“This is a gift from someone that cares about you, all we ask is that you take care of yourself to do this for someone else some day.”
