Biography

Christy Earls is an associate attorney in the Insurance Defense practice group at Smith Bigman Brock. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies in 2013 and earned her Juris Doctorate, top of the Fall 2022 class, from the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law, Barry University. Additionally, as a result of being among higher scorers on the Florida Bar Exam, Ms. Earls was invited to speak before the Fifth District Court of Appeal at the May Induction Ceremony for the admission of new applicants to the Florida Bar. Prior to and while pursuing her undergraduate degrees, as well as during her time in law school, Ms. Earls was actively involved in the legal field. She volunteered with the Volusia County Guardian ad Litem program while attending Daytona State College where she earned her Associate of Science degree in paralegal studies. Her prior experience also includes employment as a legal assistant in the practice areas of personal injury and worker's compensation. During her time in law school, she volunteered with the Orange County Bar Association Legal Aid Society working in the practice areas of family, housing, consumer, immigration, tax, and criminal law matters. Additionally, she worked at the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in the Real Estate Division and as a Research Assistant for Professor Eang Ngov. during her last year of law school, and in 2022 she joined our Firm as a law clerk in the insurance defense practice area. Her academic achievements, pro bono activities within the legal community, and years of related work experience, beautifully compliment the commitment to excellence that our firm is founded upon and continues to strive for every day, with every client.
