Attorneys at Smith Hood Bigman Recognized as 2011 Florida Super Lawyers

Smith Hood Bigman congratulates partners, Horace Smith, Jr., and Jeffrey E. Bigman for having been recognized as 2011 Florida Super Lawyers.  This recognition of being among Florida's most outstanding attorneys is given to only 5% of the attorneys in the state.  Attorneys receive this recognition after a state wide survey of attorneys, independent evaluation of attorneys in the candidate pool, and peer evaluation by practice area.  The complete list of Super Lawyers is published annually in the Super Lawyers Magazine.                

Mr. Smith has been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer for the sixth consecutive year in the practice areas of Family Law and Criminal Defense.  Mr. Smith was Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a Specialist in Criminal Trial Law from 1987 to 1997 and is currently a Board Certified Specialist in the areas of Marital and Family Law.  Additionally, Mr. Smith is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is presently serving as a Member of the Fifth District Court of Appeals Judicial Nominating Committee.

Mr. Bigman has received recognition as a Florida Super Lawyer for the last four consecutive years, a total of five years in all, in the practice areas of Personal Injury Defense, Medical Malpractice, Civil Litigation Defense, Personal Injury Defense, and General Legal Practice.  Mr. Bigman is a Board Certified Specialist in the area of Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar, and was recently named the President-Elect of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association for 2011-2012.
