2007 Rotary Gingerbread Spectacular

Partners and staff of SMITH HOOD PERKINS, in cooperation with the management and staff of UCP of East Central Florida/Work Oriented Rehabilitation Center worked together to build Independence Hall for Display in the 2007 Gingerbread Spectacular.

The Rotary Club of West Daytona is constantly looking at new ways to give back to the community while raising charitable dollars to benefit additional charities and organizations.  This year's event is meant to do just that.  The edible architecture was on display at the Volusia Mall from November 9, 2007, through December 31, 2007.

  Independence Hall

This year, the Rotary Club selected the following beneficiaries of the first ever Rotary Gingerbread Spectacular.  The major beneficiaries included:

• UPC/WORC (http://www.ucp.org/ucp_local.cfm/180),

• Community Partnership for Children (http://www.communitypartnershipforchildren.org)

• Stewart Marchman Foundation (http://www.stewartmarchman.org). 

In addition, the West Daytona Rotary will distribute several other individual amounts to it's beloved charities involving children and fresh drinking water for world communities.
