ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY: Smith Hood Bigman has an opening for a mid-level Associate with 3-5 years experience in insurance defense and/or bad faith litigation. An eligible candidate for this opportunity will be a member of the Florida Bar, demonstrated ability to handle discovery issues and appear in court. This is not a training opportunity. Energetic attitude, impeccable research and communication skills are required. All inquiries are handled in the strictest confidence. PARALEGAL: Smith Hood Bigman has an opening for a Paralegal with our insurance defense practice group. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience in insurance defense. Large database and electronic document management experience, a plus. The successful candidate will be organized, self-motivated, have working knowledge of state court rules and practice, have a working knowledge of all software in the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, be a team player, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. SECRETARY: Smith Hood Bigman has an opening for a legal secretary with our insurance defense practice group. Candidate must have law office experience, preferably in insurance litigation. The successful candidate will be organized, have a good work ethic, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), be a team player, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. A cover letter and references should be included with resume.
