Our Attorneys

Amanda J. Jacobsen is an associate attorney in the insurance defense practice group at Smith Hood Bigman. She has experience in the areas of insurance litigation and criminal defense litigation. She worked three years for the Lee County Public Defender's Office before joining our Firm.

Ms. Jacobsen joined Smith Hood Bigman in 2010. She graduated Summa Cum-Laude from the University of South Carolina in 2003. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Phi Sigma national honors societies. A National Collegiate Scholar, Ms. Jacobsen was also on the Dean's List throughout her time at the University of South Carolina. In 2007, Ms. Jacobsen graduated from the Florida Coastal School of Law earning her Juris Doctorate.
